The manufacturer 3M™ has informed us that the color of the pressure-sensitive adhesive liner (PSA) for 3M lapping and polishing films will be changed. The color will change from white to brown.

Our current supplier of white liners is no longer able to supply the material. A successor product has been qualified with the same liner material specifications; but with the color brown. This change is effective immediately for shipments from October 2025 from the 3M supply location in the USA.

A PSA liner is the protective film that is removed from the lapping film before use. This change notice only affects the color change. All other product characteristics remain within the historical specification range with similar performance. As always, you must determine whether this successor product is suitable for your intended applications.

Please note that it remains the responsibility of users to decide whether a product is suitable for their specific requirements.
