Code of Conduct Röckelein
Scope: This Code of Conduct applies to the following location: Röckelein GmbH – Neue Reichenbacher Straße 15, 08496 Neumark / OT Reuth

Furthermore, Röckelein GmbH requires its suppliers to comply with the principles enshrined in this code.
Law and legislation:
Röckelein complies with the applicable laws and legislation of the countries in which it operates, and it requires its suppliers to do the same.
Forced labor:
Röckelein does not use any form of forced labor, including forced labor in prisons and debt bondage.
Integrity and anti-corruption:
Röckelein's business practices are founded on universally recognized ethical values and principles, including righteousness, integrity, and respect for human dignity, transparency, and non-discrimination on the basis of religion, ideology, gender, and ethics. Röckelein maintains a zero-tolerance policy for corruption and bribery.
Röckelein promotes transparency, integrity, and responsible management and control within the company in an appropriate manner.
Communication:
Röckelein is responsible for communicating the associated requirements to all its employees and suppliers. Particular attention is paid to vulnerable groups (e.g., children and young people).
Child labor:
Röckelein does not use child labor. In the absence of local laws specifying a higher age limit, persons who are still of school age or younger than 15 years of age are not subject to employment, in accordance with the exceptions outlined in ILO Convention 138. Employees under the age of 18 may not be assigned to hazardous work, and they may be exempted from night work, taking into account their training requirements.
In accordance with our commitment to non-discrimination, all employment decisions are made strictly on the basis of each employee's abilities and qualifications.
These decisions include hiring and promotions, compensation, fringe benefits, training, layoffs, and terminations.
Furthermore, we maintain a harassment-free environment.
Employees are not subjected to any form of physical punishment, harassment, or abuse, including physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment.
Compensation:
Compensation, including wages, overtime, and benefits, shall be at least at the level specified by applicable law and regulations or above. It is essential that compensation for full-time employment is sufficient to meet the basic needs of employees.
Working hours: In the absence of national regulations that stipulate a lower maximum working time, and except in exceptional company circumstances, employees are not required to work a standard working week of more than 48 hours per week, or a total weekly working time of more than 60 hours (including overtime) on a regular basis. The company generally practices a 5-day work week.
Health and safety:
Röckelein ensures fair working conditions and safety and health in the workplace. The applicable legal provisions serve as minimum criteria.
Freedom of association and collective bargaining:
The employer respects and recognizes the legal right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
Environment:
Röckelein implements environmentally friendly practices at all locations where it operates, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance these practices. Röckelein adheres to environmental protection regulations and standards, ensuring the responsible use of natural resources.
Conflict minerals:
Röckelein is committed to exercising due diligence to prevent the use of so-called “conflict minerals.” This policy pertains to raw materials such as columbite-tantalite (coltan, niobium, tantalum), cassiterite (tin), gold, and wolframite (tungsten) sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries.
This is based on Section 1502 of the US Dodd-Frank Act of 2010, Regulation (EU) 2017/821 of May 17, 2017, and comparable national and international legal obligations.
Röckelein is committed to material compliance, ensuring the safe handling of substances and products, and complying with the applicable European regulations on declaration and reporting, such as REACH and RoHS. As part of our commitment, we exercise due diligence to ensure that prohibited substances are not used, that the relevant restrictions are observed, and that these restrictions are clearly communicated.
Röckelein is committed to corporate social responsibility, demonstrating civic engagement through positive contributions to the communities in which it operates. Additionally, we support social institutions and non-profit associations.
Regarding data protection, we adhere to the provisions of Section 5 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), ensuring the confidentiality of data.
We will only collect and process personal data if the BDSG or another legal provision permits or requires this, or if the person concerned has given their consent, as outlined in Section 4 (1) BDSG.
