Personal protective equipment

The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all work and activities that, by their very nature, could result in injury or health issues and cannot be averted through other means, whether technical or organizational.

In addition to technical (hazard prevention) and organizational measures (separating the hazard from people or at least limiting its duration), personal measures (personal protective equipment and training) are among the classic measures of occupational safety and health protection. However, it is important to note that technical and organizational measures take precedence over PPE.
