    Change in source of supply for liners to 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tapes

    In accordance with IATF 16949, 3M Automotive and Aerospace Solutions Division would like to inform you of a change in the source of supply for liners on 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tapes manufactured at 3M Hilden. We have qualified 3M Wroclaw in Poland as the new source of supply for the liners currently manufactured by 3M Hutchinson in the United States. This change is part of a global strategy for our Bonding & Joining portfolio, which takes into account, among other things, the availability of raw materials and continuity of supply.

    The production of tapes at the 3M Hilden site with carriers from 3M Wroclaw is expected to begin in April 2024. The qualification of the source of supply is currently in progress and will be completed in the third quarter of 2024.

    The qualification of the new source of supply for our carriers is being carried out in accordance with IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 standards. The change in the location of the source of supply will not affect product design, performance, or appearance. We will not change our product specifications. The current entry in the IMDS will not be affected by this change. We are conducting product testing to ensure that you receive products with the quality and consistency you expect from 3M.
