Expansion of the grit range: 3M™ Hookit™ Film Discs 775L now available up to 1,000+
We have expanded our product range: 3M™ Hookit™ Film Discs 775L are now also available online in finer grit sizes. In addition to the previous grit range up to 400+, the 775L now also covers the fine grades 500+ / 600+ / 800+ / 1,000+. This means that sanding and finishing processes can now be carried out even more precisely and consistently – from material removal to high-quality fine sanding.
The 3M™ Xtract™ Cubitron™ II Film Disc 775L has been specially developed for high-performance grinding and finishing work in machine grinding. It combines high stock removal, long service life, and consistently high surface quality with particularly effective dust extraction.
At its core is the precision-shaped 3M ceramic grain. Its triangular structure actively cuts into the material instead of rubbing or displacing it. This ensures fast, controlled removal and a clean finish—even in very fine grits up to 1,000+. At the same time, the grinding performance remains consistently high throughout the entire service life of the disc.
The patented 3M™ Xtract™ multi-hole pattern enables exceptionally efficient dust extraction directly at the grinding point. This reduces clogging of the disc, extends its service life, and promotes a clean working environment. Alignment of the disc on the backing pad is not necessary, which makes disc replacement much easier.
The robust film backing offers high tear resistance and edge stability and is significantly superior to conventional paper backings. The film discs are suitable for both dry and wet applications. In combination with the 3M™ Hookit™ fastening system, the discs are easy to attach, remove cleanly, and reuse multiple times.
The 3M™ Hookit™ Film Disc 775L is versatile and can be used on metals, wood, composite materials, and painted, primed, and coated surfaces, among others. With the expansion of the grit range, the right abrasives are now also available for demanding finishing work.
