Focus on Your Health: Industrial Respirators
Sweeping, sanding, painting, varnishing, spraying, welding—each of these tasks requires different protective measures. Respiratory protection products help you adapt to specific working conditions and protect yourself from hazardous substances. In addition to safety, the comfort of a respirator is a top priority.
Gas and Vapor Masks
- Half-masks
With their comprehensive range of filters, 3M™ half-masks provide effective protection against gases, vapors, and particles. They stand out for their top-notch quality, durability, and reliability during extended wear.
- Full-face masks
Unmatched comfort and exceptionally easy to use. A comprehensive range of filters offers users protection against virtually all hazardous substances.
- Protective filter
This allows almost any mask to be combined with different types of filters.
Particle masks
Our high-performance 3M™ particulate respirators combine the benefits of mechanical filtration with those of an innovative electrostatic nonwoven material to filter out particles while maintaining low breathing resistance.
- Pre-shaped particulate respirators
3M particulate respirators combine ergonomic design with patented technology.
- Folded particulate masks
Maximum comfort, low breathing resistance, and comfortable, reliable protection.
Powered and compressed-air respiratory protection systems
A powered air-purifying respirator system offers a number of advantages over conventional respirators and tight-fitting headpieces. By significantly reducing pressure, breathing resistance, and heat buildup, it ensures comfort—all day long.
Our respiratory protection products offer protection against substances, particles, or organisms that can enter the body through the respiratory tract.
Generally, respiratory protection devices can be divided into two groups. In Europe, these definitions are found in EN 133
- Air-supplied respiratory protection: breathing valve and filter – also known as filter-type respirators; in firefighting, this is referred to as air-purifying respiratory protection
- Self-contained breathing apparatus: a breathing apparatus with a system for supplying uncontaminated breathing gas—also known as self-contained breathing apparatus; in the fire service, it is referred to as self-contained breathing apparatus.
Respiratory protection equipment is used both in industry and by various emergency services, such as the fire department and emergency medical services.
