787C Fiber Discs

The 3M™ 787C fiber disc is ideal for daily use without compromising on performance or cost-effectiveness. Achieve excellent service life and removal rates up to 120+ grit for stainless steel applications, especially at low and medium pressures. The special design of this fiber disc ensures low heat build-up when working with stainless steels, which are known for their poor thermal conductivity.

Use the 787C fiber disc for increased performance when grinding stainless steel and high-alloy steels compared to conventional fiber discs. Thanks to their extremely high cutting performance, these fiber discs are an excellent choice for removing weld seams, flash, and for surface finishing of stainless steel or alloys with a high nickel content. The 787C fiber disc contains precision-shaped abrasive grains, which are necessary to achieve very short processing times and long tool life in demanding applications ranging from grinding to deburring. The product features an abrasive aid on the grain side to keep the workpiece cool, thereby extending the life of the grinding disc. The disc consists of a rigid fiber backing, a strong resin bond, and the abrasive aid coating, which ensure durability and wear resistance. Thanks to this construction and the combination with precision-shaped abrasive grains, more parts per disc can be processed faster and at significantly lower temperatures, and fewer disc changes are required.
