3M-237AA Sanding Belt

The 3M™ Trizact™ 237AA abrasive cloth was specially developed to deliver a consistently uniform grinding result. It is based on the three-dimensional pyramid structure made of micron-grade aluminum oxide. During use, these pyramids wear down in a controlled manner, continuously exposing new, sharp cutting edges. This keeps cutting performance consistently high and produces a precise, fine finish.

Unlike conventional abrasives, the belt operates at a significantly lower temperature, preventing overheating and significantly extending service life. Thanks to the flexible X-weave backing, the belt reliably adapts to various contours and surface shapes, ensuring a uniform sanding pattern. It is particularly well-suited for intermediate sanding, fine sanding passes, and polishing prior to painting or coating.

The resin-bonded aluminum oxide structure is heat-resistant and prevents grain loss. The integrated film closure additionally ensures low-vibration belt operation without disruptive chatter marks. The uniform grain distribution makes processing more efficient, as fewer sanding passes are required, saving valuable working time.

Compared to standard sanding belts, the 3M™ Trizact™ 237AA delivers up to five times longer service life, a more uniform finish, and higher productivity in surface finishing.
