3M-237AA Sanding Belt

The 3M™ Trizact™ 237AA abrasive cloth was developed for consistent and predictable sanding results. Its three-dimensional pyramid structure made of micron-grade aluminum oxide ensures that new, sharp grit is exposed layer by layer during the sanding process. This maintains a consistent removal rate and produces a fine, controlled finish.

Unlike traditional abrasives, the Trizact™ belt runs cooler, prevents the workpiece from overheating, and lasts significantly longer. The flexible X-weave backing adapts perfectly to shaped and contoured surfaces and ensures a uniform sanding pattern. This makes it ideal for intermediate sanding, fine finishing, and polishing prior to subsequent coating or painting processes.

The resin-bonded aluminum oxide offers high heat resistance and prevents grain loss. At the same time, the uniform grain distribution reduces the number of required processing steps, saves time, and increases productivity. The integrated film backing also ensures smooth operation without disruptive vibrations or chatter marks.
