3M Masking Tape 232B

The 3M™ General Purpose Masking Tape 232 is a reliable masking tape for clean and precise paint lines, even at moderate baking temperatures. It can be removed easily and without leaving residue, even from difficult surfaces.

The thick crepe paper backing is treated with a solvent-resistant impregnating agent that prevents latex and oil-based paints from penetrating. Thanks to its moderate flexibility, the tape is also suitable for masking edges, curves, and irregular surfaces. The natural rubber adhesive provides immediate adhesion with strong holding power, resists curling and lifting, and ensures clean removal after the job is done.

The tape is temperature-resistant up to 121 °C for up to 30 minutes and is therefore ideally suited for many painting and varnishing jobs. It outperforms conventional tapes in terms of sunlight resistance, but should not be used permanently outdoors.

In addition to painting and finishing work, the tape is also versatile—for example, for holding, protecting, bundling, or masking in craft, industrial, and commercial applications. The durable crepe paper tears easily by hand and guarantees clean work without splintering.
