Scotch® Heavy-Duty Masking Tape 233+ is a premium paper masking tape specifically designed for automotive repairs, shipbuilding, and other paint repair applications. It adheres excellently to smooth surfaces and can be removed cleanly without leaving adhesive residue or damaging the surface. This tape can be used on all typical automotive surfaces and with water- or solvent-based paint systems.

Thanks to its green crepe paper backing, Scotch® Heavy-Duty Masking Tape 233+ is extremely conformable and easy to apply. When used outdoors (UV exposure), this masking tape can be removed within three days without leaving adhesive residue or tearing—and even over a longer period when used indoors. The Scotch® High-Performance Masking Tape also prevents paint bleed-through and has a temperature resistance of up to 120 °C for a period of up to 30 minutes. A special release coating on the back of the paper provides excellent control when unwinding the entire 55-meter roll. It supports more precise masking and helps prevent paint bleed-through. Scotch® High-Performance Masking Tape 233+ is recommended for use with water- or solvent-based paint systems and is also suitable for masking areas during wet sanding.
