The silver, self-adhesive aluminum foil is coated with a self-adhesive viscoelastic polymer and comes with a protective liner.
Use 3M™ Damping Foil 2552 to produce die-cut parts from aluminum foil and dampen noise levels in all types of vehicles and equipment across a wide range of applications. The silver aluminum foil is coated with a self-adhesive viscoelastic polymer and covered with a multi-coated release liner. The viscoelastic properties of the acrylate adhesive absorb vibrations, reducing noise levels and metal fatigue. This tape is thermally conductive and improves heating and cooling efficiency. It is heat-reflective and highly resistant to flames, moisture, weather, UV radiation, and chemicals.
