3M™ Metal Tape 434 is a vibration-damping, low-temperature-resistant, silver adhesive tape with a soft aluminum backing. The interface layer is coated with a pressure-sensitive viscoelastic polymer, covered by an easily removable blue polyethylene release liner. The tape absorbs and converts vibrations and dampens noise. It is suitable for a wide range of applications in aerospace, automotive, construction, and household appliances, as well as maintenance and repair tasks.

Effective at very low temperatures 3M™ Metal Tape 434 is a vibration-damping, 0.2 mm thick, silver adhesive tape with a soft aluminum backing. The tape is suitable for reducing resonance noise and vibrations in metal housings and composite materials. Covering just 10% of the surface area is sufficient to achieve effective damping. This tape is durable, moisture-, weather-, and UV-resistant, as well as flame-retardant. Additional features include resistance to aging and chemicals, as well as usability across a wide temperature range, particularly at low temperatures. The product is temperature-resistant down to -60 °C. The version with a protective film is suitable for the production of stamped parts.
