3M™ Lead Tape 420 is a silver, lead-containing tape coated with a distinctive green rubber-resin adhesive that provides good initial adhesion and long-lasting adhesion, peeling cleanly from most surfaces. It is an extremely adaptable and flexible tape that can be formed into detailed and complex shapes and patterns. The lead backing can be burnished to completely cover the adhesive and allow full contact between the lead foil and the metal substrate. This metal-to-metal contact ensures a continuous electrical path and reduces deposits at the bond site. The tape is formulated to be electrically and thermally conductive and exhibits strong acid and alkali resistance, making it ideal for electroplating or as radiation shielding. Application ideas: Radiation barrier, moisture barrier, chemical etching. Weight and balance of equipment parts, golf clubs, tennis rackets, etc.
