3M Scotchcast Removable Cable Resin 2123C

3M™ Scotchcast™ Removable Cable Resin 2123 is a two-component, soft polybutadiene potting compound for the reliable sealing and electrical insulation of low-voltage cable connections. The resin comes in convenient pouch packaging and is particularly suitable for applications in control cabinets where cable connections must be protected from moisture and external influences.

Thanks to its low viscosity and excellent wetting properties, the resin flows evenly into the housing and reliably fills voids—even at lower temperatures. It cures at room temperature, remaining flexible and removable if necessary. Its high elongation of up to 300% facilitates the insulation and wrapping of cable connections.

The cable resin is designed for operating voltages up to 1 kV and is suitable for continuous temperatures up to 90 °C. It adheres to virtually all common cable jackets and complies with relevant standards as well as the requirements of the RoHS and REACH directives. This makes it a versatile and practical solution for temporary or removable potting applications.
