3M™ Scotchcast™ Removable Cable Resin 2123 is a soft, two-component polybutadiene casting compound. This resin offers good handling and performance characteristics and is suitable for removable splice protection. This versatile, moisture-sealing resin adheres to almost all cable jackets.
3M™ Scotchcast™ Cable Resin 2123 has good wetting properties and low viscosity. This soft, flexible resin cures at room temperature and serves as an insulating material for cable splices operating at up to 1 kV. It flows easily, even at low temperatures, while filling the housing and minimizing voids. It is tested according to CENELEC HD 623.S1 (EN50393) and is compliant with 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and 1907/2007/EC (REACH).
