3M Adhesive Tape 582

The 3M™ Heat-Activated Adhesive Film Y-582A provides strong, durable adhesion to a wide variety of materials, including metals, glass, and thermosetting resins. With its consistent adhesive thickness and good solvent resistance, it ensures uniform, reliable bonds. The film has initial adhesion at room temperature, allowing components to be easily positioned and aligned at first. The adhesive is then activated and cross-linked by pressure (over 3 N/cm²) and heat (over 130 °C)—resulting in a particularly temperature- and chemical-resistant bond with high shear strength. The film can also be post-processed and converted into precise die-cut parts, making it ideal for industrial applications.
