Beschreibung
3M™ Double-Sided Adhesive Tape 9040 is a versatile, all-purpose adhesive tape for applications requiring high initial tack and reliable bonding strength. It was specially developed for the secure bonding of a wide variety of materials—including plastics with low surface energy.
The pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive ensures immediate adhesion and allows for rapid further processing of the components. At the same time, the tape offers good shear strength at room temperature, making it suitable for numerous assembly and fastening tasks.
The backing material is a sturdy paper nonwoven that ensures good processing and die-cutting properties. The silicone-coated release liner is easy to peel off and enables clean, efficient handling in everyday production or workshop environments. The 3M™ 9040 is suitable for many surfaces, including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and other plastics and materials. Material compatibility should be tested prior to use.
