3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP 490 is a viscoelastic and thixotropic two-component epoxy-based structural adhesive with a 2:1 mixing ratio. DP 490 was developed for use in applications subject to extreme stresses and requiring high strength.
High temperature resistance up to 120 °C allows for greater stress on the bond. Good impact resistance and exceptional stability under static and dynamic loads. DP 490 exhibits very good aging properties. Easy application to vertical surfaces thanks to its thixotropic composition. DP 490 demonstrates exceptional properties in the manufacture of various composite assemblies. The product offers very high temperature resistance as well as excellent weather resistance
