Beschreibung
The 3M™ Epoxy Resin Tin Replacement Filler is the modern, lead-free alternative to the traditional tinning process. This cold-applied repair product offers outstanding adhesion to steel, zinc, and aluminum surfaces and provides excellent corrosion protection. Thanks to its unique formulation with 100% solids, the filler does not shrink during curing and ensures a permanently stable result.
The 3M™ Tin Replacement Putty is ideally suited for modeling, shaping, and sealing metallic surfaces, especially in hard-to-reach areas. It is ideal for repairing dents, indentations, and welded areas. The working time is approximately 15–20 minutes; curing at room temperature takes about 4 hours—the process can be further accelerated using IR drying.
A major advantage: The product replaces conventional open-flame tinning, thereby avoiding high temperatures and the need to remove heat-sensitive vehicle parts. After curing, the putty can be easily sanded and painted without any issues. Thus, the 3M™ Epoxy Resin Solder Replacement Putty enables safe, efficient, and time-saving repair processes—completely without the use of lead.
