The Scotch-Brite™ XT Pro Heavy-Duty Cleaning Disc consists of silicon carbide integrated into an open nylon fiber construction. Our discs effectively remove rust, paint, scale, coatings, and adhesives from surfaces without significantly altering the base material.

The disc features a combination of newly developed fiber bundles, synthetic resin, and silicon carbide abrasives, which together form a thick, open-weave fleece. The resilient nature of the fibers allows the disc to conform more precisely to the contours of the workpiece. This increases the contact area and material removal. It conforms to weld beads to polish weld seams without removing them. It also allows you to reach hard-to-access areas without damaging the surface. Thanks to its high removal rate, the silicon carbide ensures excellent surface quality. Undesirable burrs, dirt, and contaminants are effectively removed without altering the shape of the workpiece. This, in turn, reduces rework and increases productivity. Gaps in the fleece also allow grinding debris to be removed, minimizing clogging of the abrasive. The strengthening synthetic resin bond gradually breaks down during use to expose new fiber bundles and new super-sharp silicon carbide abrasive. This ensures consistent removal rates throughout the entire service life. The high-strength fibers prevent tearing and deliver excellent results even on edges. The disc is also characterized by low vibration and sparking, as well as high rotational speeds and a long service life.
