High-performance diamond lapping film for precise results
The most widely used diamond lapping film delivers rapid material removal and increased throughput. It produces exceptionally flat surfaces with sharp edges and ensures a uniform, controlled finish.

The backing film, made of non-compressible material, ensures consistently high precision. The synthetic diamond grains used are both water- and oil-resistant and offer maximum hardness for demanding applications.

Thanks to evenly distributed diamond particles, precisely reproducible surface results can be achieved – ideal for processes where consistency is crucial.

Area of application:
The 3M™ Diamond Lapping Film 661X has been specially developed for the fine grinding of particularly hard materials such as ceramics, glass or stone. The abrasive diamond grains are precisely applied to a stable polyester film and are available in grain sizes from 0.10 to 30.0 microns.

Application note:
The film should always be used for wet grinding. Water, emulsions or standard cooling lubricants are suitable for cooling and supporting the grinding process.
