The 3M™ Lapping Film 263X is a high-quality precision film for demanding grinding and polishing applications. Aluminum oxide particles are applied to a 3-mil polyester film using a harder synthetic resin system, making the film particularly suitable for hard materials. It delivers tight tolerances, high grain adhesion, and a uniform surface finish. The 263X is water- and oil-resistant, reduces clogging, and offers a long service life. Available in grit sizes of 0.05 µm and 40 µm, it is ideal for polishing work on fiber optics as well as for precise lapping processes in electronics manufacturing.
