Beschreibung
The 3M™ Lapping Film with aluminum oxide grit offers the highest precision for polishing and grinding applications. Fine aluminum oxide particles are applied to a 3-mil polyester film using a softer synthetic resin system. Available in grit sizes of 1.0 and 2.0 µm, the film is ideal for polishing fiber optics and for precision lapping processes. The combination of a narrow grain size distribution, high adhesion, and a water- and oil-resistant backing film ensures consistent results and a smooth surface finish—even on demanding metal or plastic workpieces. For optimal results, use with water, emulsions, or commercially available coolants is recommended.
