The 3M™ Lapping Film 261X is considered the standard among 3M lapping films. It features a homogeneous, non-compressible polyester film as a backing and is coated with precisely graded aluminum oxide particles. This results in precise, reproducible, and uniform surface finishes on a variety of materials. The film is water- and oil-resistant, offers a long service life, and reduces clogging during use. The film is available in sheets, rolls, or discs in grit sizes of 0.3 / 3 / 5 / 9 / 12 / 30 microns.
