3M Hookit Backing Plate for Orbital Sanders

The 3M™ Hookit™ backing pad is designed for hook-and-loop sanding strips measuring 76 mm x 102 mm with the LS202D hole pattern and was specifically developed for use with orbital sanders. It is also suitable for use with random-orbit, rotary, or angle grinders.

Thanks to the proven 3M™ Hookit™ System, sanding and finishing discs can be quickly attached, easily removed, and reused multiple times. The system reliably grips the nylon loops on the discs, ensuring a consistent finish that is finer than with adhesive discs. The 45° beveled edge of the backing plate makes working particularly flexible—both for precise edge sanding and for smooth blending.

The Hookit™ System offers particular advantages in work environments where self-adhesive backing could be compromised by dust or dirt. The reusable attachment extends the service life of the abrasives used and increases efficiency.
