3M Hookit Backing Pad 76 mm

The polishing backing pad has a 5/16" mounting thread and is designed to hold 76.2 mm and 80 mm polishing media.

Attach a 3M™ Hookit™ sanding or finishing disc—or a 3M™ Finesse-it™ polishing disc—to a variety of hand-held sanding tools using the 3M™ Hookit™ sanding pad. Our sanding pad grips the nylon loops on 3M Hookit discs and ensures a finer finish than discs with a self-adhesive backing. Thanks to the 3M Hookit hook-and-loop fastening system, the disc can be easily attached, removed, and reattached. This allows it to be reused repeatedly, extending its sanding performance. The discs or pads are attached using a J-shaped hook, as is common in everyday hook-and-loop applications. Our sanding pad features a 45° beveled edge. This makes it versatile and allows it to sand sharp edges or blend them smoothly. The Hookit system was developed for work areas where discs with self-adhesive backing can become contaminated by dust, dirt, or airborne particles.
