3M-947A Hookit Sanding Discs

The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ cloth discs 947A offer particularly efficient grinding performance thanks to their advanced, precision-shaped ceramic grit. The sharp-edged grit structure penetrates the material easily, ensures fast material removal, and delivers a uniform grinding pattern. An integrated cooling agent helps keep the surface cool during grinding, which is particularly beneficial when working with heat-sensitive metals.

The strong X-weave fabric gives the disc high stability, while the 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop fastening system enables quick changes and a secure hold on compatible backing pads. The discs are available in grits ranging from 40+ to 120+ and can be used on both angle grinders (115 mm and 125 mm) and—depending on diameter and hole pattern—on random-orbit sanders.

Although primarily designed for metal applications, they also perform well in woodworking and for paint removal. This makes the 947A discs a versatile solution for demanding sanding processes.
