3M-769F Fan Discs

The 3M™ 769F Fan Disc was developed for demanding grinding applications that require high material removal, consistent results, and long service life. It combines efficiency and versatility and is ideal for professional metalworking applications.

At the heart of the disc is the 3M™ precision-shaped ceramic grain. The specially shaped grain tips actively cut through the material rather than displacing it. This achieves exceptionally fast material removal—even at lower contact pressures. At the same time, grinding performance remains consistently high throughout the entire service life.

The overlapping, fiber-reinforced flaps wear down in a controlled manner, continuously exposing new abrasive mineral. This ensures a consistent cutting speed and a uniform finish. The flexible flap structure also produces a finer finish than comparable fiber discs of the same grit size, often allowing grinding and finishing to be completed in a single step.
