3M-769F Fan Discs

The 3M™ 769F Flap Disc was developed for heavy-duty metalworking and impresses with a particularly reliable combination of strong grinding performance and long service life. This is based on 3M™’s precision-shaped ceramic grain, which cuts extremely sharply and enables significantly higher efficiency than conventional grain types.

During operation, the flaps wear down evenly, continuously exposing new, sharp-edged abrasive material. This ensures the disc maintains consistent performance throughout its entire service life and enables rapid work progress. The flexible flap structure also adapts well to various workpiece contours and produces a uniform surface finish—even at lower pressure.

Thanks to its high removal rate combined with reduced heat generation, the disc is ideal for stainless steel, carbon steel, and other sensitive metal alloys. Since grinding and finishing are performed in a single operation, the disc significantly increases productivity.
