3M-769F Fan Discs

The 3M™ 769F Fan Disc was developed for demanding metalworking applications and impresses with an outstanding combination of high removal rate and long service life. Its high-performance, precision-shaped ceramic grain enables exceptionally fast material removal and works significantly more efficiently than conventional zirconia fan discs. During use, the flaps break open in a controlled manner, continuously exposing sharp-edged abrasive grains. This keeps the grinding speed consistently high throughout the entire service life.

The three-dimensional flap structure ensures that more abrasive material is actively utilized while producing a uniform, clean finish. Even at low contact pressure, the disc achieves excellent results, making it ideal for heat-sensitive metals such as stainless steel or carbon steel. In addition, the flap disc combines grinding and surface finishing in a single step—a clear advantage for productive workshop processes and precise results.
