The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F delivers efficient grinding processes and reliable results in professional applications. It was specifically designed to combine high material removal rates with a consistent surface finish—even during extended use and on demanding materials.

This is made possible by the newly developed 3M precision-shaped grain with an optimized, curved shape. This grain geometry ensures that new, sharp cutting edges are constantly formed during grinding. As a result, grinding performance remains consistently high without the need to increase pressure or speed. Compared to traditional flap discs made of aluminum oxide or zirconia, the 1169F operates significantly more efficiently.

The flaps are designed to wear down in a controlled manner at the edges, continuously exposing fresh abrasive material. This ensures uniform material removal throughout the disc’s entire service life while simultaneously reducing heat build-up on the workpiece. This is a decisive advantage, particularly when working with stainless steel and heat-sensitive alloys.
