The 3M Xtract™ Cubitron™ II 732U sanding disc features 3M’s patented multi-hole design, which provides better dust extraction during random orbital sanding. Part of the 3M Xtract™ series, the gold standard in dust removal and performance. Its innovative multi-hole design provides better dust extraction than products with five or six holes—thereby improving material removal and significantly extending service life. With this design, there is no need to align it with the holes on the sanding pad, making disc changes quick, easy, and convenient. The disc features a precision-shaped ceramic grain from 3M, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular-shaped ceramic mineral is designed to cut through the substrate rather than gouging or “plowing” it like conventional abrasives. As a result, the disc offers twice the removal rate of standard discs.

These discs are ideal for a wide range of applications where material removal is the primary concern. They work particularly well on numerous substrates, especially metals, composites, gel coatings, and softwood. The C-weight paper backing is well-suited for sanding applications where edge stability is not the primary concern. The best results are achieved when used with 3M Xtract™ random orbital sanders. An open-coating design provides more space between the abrasive grains, allowing dust and other abrasive particles to be removed more easily rather than clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The dust-repellent coating enables the disc to sand softwoods, paints, and other materials for longer periods—materials that would otherwise clog the disc and impair its sanding performance. All of this ensures higher productivity and lower material consumption. When dust cannot clog the cutting edges of the abrasive, sanding discs provide stronger and faster removal. The patented multi-hole design in our 3M Xtract™ products removes dust faster than products with five or six holes. This hole design does not need to be aligned with the holes on the sanding pad. This allows for quick and easy disc changes. Use this disc with a 3M Xtract™ backing pad and a random orbit sander with dust extraction (both sold separately) to ensure optimal dust extraction.
