The 3M Xtract™ Cubitron™ 775L film disc features a patented 3M™ Multihole pattern that provides better dust extraction during finishing. Part of the 3M Xtract™ series, the gold standard in dust removal and performance. Our innovative multi-hole pattern provides better dust extraction than products with five or six holes—thereby improving material removal and significantly extending service life. With this design, there is no need to align the disc with the holes on the sanding pad, making disc changes quick, easy, and convenient. The disc features 3M precision-shaped ceramic grit, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular-shaped ceramic mineral is designed to cut through the substrate rather than gouging or “plowing” it like conventional abrasives. As a result, the disc delivers twice the removal rate and up to six times the service life compared to standard discs. The film backing offers excellent tear resistance and flexibility, enabling a smooth and uniform finish on various substrates.

These discs are ideal for many different applications where material removal is the primary concern. They perform exceptionally well on numerous substrates, particularly metals, composites, gel coatings, and softwood. The film backing offers better tear resistance than paper discs, ensuring additional durability and edge stability. The best results are achieved when used with 3M Xtract™ random orbital sanders. An open-coating design provides more space between the abrasive grains, allowing dust and other grinding particles to be removed more easily rather than clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The dust-repellent coating enables the disc to sand softwoods, varnishes, and other materials for longer periods—materials that would otherwise clog the disc and impair its sanding performance. All of this ensures higher productivity and lower material consumption. When dust cannot clog the cutting edges of the abrasive, sanding discs provide stronger and faster removal. The patented multi-hole design in our 3M Xtract products removes dust faster than products with five or six holes. This hole design does not need to be aligned with the holes on the sanding pad. This allows for quick and easy disc changes. Use this disc with a 3M Xtract backing pad and a random orbit sander with dust extraction (both sold separately) to ensure optimal dust extraction.
