3M Hookit Disc 775L

The 3M™ Xtract™ Cubitron™ II 775L film disc was developed for demanding machine sanding processes where speed, cleanliness, and consistently high surface quality are critical. It is suitable for both intensive material removal and precise finishing work, covering an exceptionally wide range of applications with grits from 80+ to 1,000+.

The basis for its high performance is the 3M precision-shaped ceramic grain. Thanks to its defined, sharp-edged structure, it cuts efficiently into the material rather than displacing it. This achieves rapid material removal while the disc operates cooler and the finish remains uniform—even with very fine grits.

Another advantage is the 3M Xtract™ multi-hole pattern, which ensures particularly effective dust extraction. Grinding dust is removed directly at the source, extending the disc’s service life and keeping the work environment significantly cleaner. At the same time, the time-consuming alignment of the disc on the backing pad is eliminated, simplifying disc changes.

The robust film backing offers higher tear resistance and better edge stability than conventional paper backing. This keeps the disc dimensionally stable and delivers consistent results in both dry and wet applications. In combination with the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system, the discs can be changed quickly, removed cleanly, and reused multiple times throughout their service life. The film disc is suitable for metals, wood, composites, as well as painted, primed, and coated surfaces.
