3M Hookit Disc 775L

The 3M™ Xtract™ Cubitron™ II 775L film disc was developed for high-performance grinding and finishing in machine sanding. It combines high material removal, long service life, and consistently high surface quality with particularly effective dust extraction.

At the heart of the disc is the 3M precision-shaped ceramic grain. Its triangular structure actively cuts into the material and prevents unnecessary friction or displacement. This achieves rapid material removal while maintaining a clean and controlled finish—even with very fine grits up to 1,000+. At the same time, sanding performance remains consistently high throughout the disc’s entire service life.

The patented 3M Xtract™ multi-hole pattern ensures exceptionally efficient dust extraction. Dust is removed directly at the grinding site, which reduces disc clogging, extends service life, and ensures a clean working environment. Aligning the disc on the backing pad is not necessary, which further speeds up disc changes.

The robust film backing offers significantly higher tear resistance and edge stability than conventional paper backs. This makes the film disc suitable for both dry and wet applications. In combination with the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system, the discs can be easily attached, cleanly removed, and reused multiple times. The 775L is versatile and can be used on metals, wood, composites, as well as on painted, primed, and coated surfaces.
