The 3M™ Cubitron™ II 984F cloth sanding belt offers revolutionary performance with 3M precision-shaped ceramic grit on a YF-weight polyester backing. The individual ceramic grains are precisely shaped, uniform in size, arranged vertically, and have the shape of small triangles. They are applied evenly but randomly distributed, resulting in the typical grinding pattern of an abrasive belt. The triangular plates form a very sharp grinding surface with unprecedented removal rates and service life. The significantly higher efficiency in the machining process ensures cost savings and more comfortable, ergonomic working conditions. This high-performance abrasive belt also features an abrasive aid, making it ideal for applications involving medium to high pressure on stainless steel and other special alloys, as well as structural steel, cobalt-chromium, and nickel alloys. The precision-shaped abrasive grain cuts evenly through the metal, maintains a lasting sharpness, and achieves a clean, burr-free, and uniform surface.
