The 3M™ Trizact™ 237AA cloth sanding belt features proprietary micro-replication technology, in which micron-grade aluminum oxide particles are formed into small pyramids of abrasive mineral and then applied to an X-weight cloth backing. As these pyramids are worn down, fresh, sharp abrasive is continuously exposed to produce a consistent cut and a flat, precise finish.

Use 3M™ Trizact™ 237AA cloth belt with fast-cutting aluminum oxide for a uniform finish on hard metals such as carbon steel and stainless steel. Our cloth belts feature unique 3M Micro-replication Technology, in which micron-sized aluminum oxide grains are formed into defined pyramids within a bonding matrix and applied to an X-cloth backing. Under moderate pressure, these pyramids wear down continuously, exposing fresh, sharp abrasive grains, resulting in a consistent cut and a consistent, fine finish. The durable backing of the 237AA cloth belts ensures consistent conformability and effective grinding under moderate pressure. The resin-bonded abrasive features greater heat resistance and prevents grain loss. The abrasive grains, arranged in a three-dimensional pyramid structure, are evenly distributed across the entire surface, ensuring consistent performance. These pyramids consist of layers of abrasive grains that wear down from the top during the finishing process, continuously exposing fresh abrasive grains. This cycle of abrasive grain renewal ensures that the abrasive maintains a consistent sharpness. These cloth belts feature a film splice—a robust, secure joint that bonds the belt ends together and consists of a thin film medium that prevents chatter marks. This ensures consistently smooth belt run and a uniform finish. Our Trizact abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve faster results, and last up to five times longer than conventional two-dimensional abrasives. They offer precise finishing control, allow operators to reduce the number of passes with different grits, and thus require fewer process steps and abrasives.
