3M-237AA Sanding Belts

The 3M™ Trizact™ 237AA cloth sanding belt enables high-precision sanding with consistently reliable results. It is based on advanced pyramid technology, in which micron-grade aluminum oxide is formed into small, uniform pyramids and applied to a durable fabric backing. These pyramids wear down in a controlled manner during grinding, continuously releasing new, sharp grit. This keeps cutting performance stable and achieves a uniform, high-quality finish.

Compared to traditional abrasives, the belt operates significantly cooler, thereby preventing material damage caused by overheating and significantly extending service life. The flexible X-weave backing ensures precise adaptation to workpieces with contours or complex shapes. This makes the sanding belt particularly suitable for fine sanding, intermediate sanding, and polishing prior to painting or coating.

The resin-bonded aluminum oxide is heat-resistant and prevents the loss of abrasive grains. At the same time, the uniform grain distribution ensures that fewer sanding passes are required, saving time. The film backing also ensures smooth, vibration-free operation without chatter marks.
