The 3M™ SJ3519FR Flame-Retardant Hook Tape is part of a two-component fastening solution. It provides consistent holding power for thousands of closure cycles. This nylon loop tape features a synthetic rubber adhesive, is flame-retardant, and meets F.A.R. 25.853 paragraph (a)(1)(i) 60-second vertical burn test. Compatible with SJ3518FR.

A clean and simple fastening solution The 3M™ flame-retardant hook tape SJ3519FR is the advanced fastening alternative to zippers, screws, snap fasteners, hooks, etc. It features a unique flame-retardant synthetic rubber adhesive. Our reusable fastening system is suitable for many materials and resistant to a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions. It is flame-retardant in accordance with F.A.R. 25.853 and was developed as a counterpart to the 3M™ Flame-Retardant Loop Tape SJ3518FR. Suitable for attaching covers to cushions, for aircraft seats, carpets, specialty vehicle and transportation applications, uniforms, gloves and clothing, signage and displays, general industrial and fire-resistant adhesive bonds. The backing of the 3M™ SJ3519FR flame-retardant hook tape is coated with a robust, pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive. The adhesive adheres very well to bare and painted metal, paint finishes, glass, sealed wood, paper, cardboard, and many plastic materials, including low-surface-energy materials such as polyethylene and polypropylene. This unique adhesive is flame-retardant, so the hook tape alone meets the requirements of F.A.R. 25.853 paragraph (a)(1)(ii), a 12-second vertical burn test. The use of pressure-sensitive adhesive eliminates or reduces the need for solvent activation, dielectric bonding, or ultrasonic bonding. Eliminating these additional fasteners simplifies the process, improves safety, and reduces installation costs. Pressure-sensitive adhesive products can be applied manually or automatically using various applicators. 3M™ Hook-and-Loop Tape Design 3M™ hook-and-loop tapes offer great design flexibility, fast product assembly, smooth and clean exterior surfaces, and outstanding product performance. The hook tape is woven with approximately 47 tiny, sturdy hooks per cm². The loop tape, in turn, is woven with thousands of soft, elastic loops to allow for thousands of opening and closing cycles. The hook tape is pre-shrunk (sanforized) to ensure maximum dimensional stability and a flat surface. To release the connection between the hooks and loops, simply pull the tapes apart by hand.
