3M™ PTFE Tape 5481 quickly and easily creates a sliding coating on various surfaces. The peeled version with the PTFE backing is easier to shape than the extruded product. This tape provides a quick and easy-to-implement solution for reducing friction between moving surfaces. The sliding and non-stick properties ensure easy separation of surfaces exposed to pressure, temperature changes, and other physical factors.

Using this tape can improve surface mobility, eliminate squeaking and rattling noises, and reduce machine noise. PTFE is chemical-resistant and can be used as a temporary chemical barrier. It can be used in a wide temperature range from 54 °C to 260 °C, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications.

What is PTFE?
