3M Adhesive Tape 5425

The 3M™ 5425 Sliding Adhesive Tape is made of UHMW polyethylene (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and offers a particularly durable, slippery surface to protect against abrasion, friction, and mechanical wear. With a thickness of 0.11 mm, it is ideally suited for use on heavily stressed components where high lubricity and load-bearing capacity are required—e.g., in the automotive, aerospace, or mechanical engineering industries.

Thanks to its low coefficient of friction, the tape enables smooth movement between components while simultaneously reducing disruptive operating noises such as squeaking or rattling.
