Beschreibung
3M™ UHMW-PE Adhesive Tape 5421 is designed to reliably protect surfaces from abrasion and significantly reduce friction. The translucent, extremely abrasion-resistant backing made of UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) creates a particularly slippery surface on which components glide past each other with virtually no resistance.
Due to its very low coefficient of friction, the tape is ideal for applications where lubricants cannot be used or are undesirable. Movement-related noises such as squeaking or rattling are effectively reduced, while wear on metal and plastic parts is minimized.
The rubber-resin adhesive used ensures good initial adhesion and enables a fast, secure bond. Thanks to the release liner, the 0.17 mm thin adhesive tape can be easily die-cut or processed into custom shapes and lengths. As a thinner version of the 3M™ UHMW-PE Adhesive Tape 5423, the 5421 is particularly suitable for precise applications with low profile requirements.
