Beschreibung
3M™ 851 High-Temperature Adhesive Tape is a high-performance masking tape for demanding applications in the electronics and printed circuit board sectors. It consists of a robust polyester backing with a blend of silicone and rubber adhesives, offering excellent temperature resistance and precise masking lines.
Thanks to the polyester backing, expansion remains minimal even at high temperatures, ensuring a straight and clean masking line. The thick adhesive coating reduces the risk of "under-etching" by reliably displacing the stripping solution between electrical connections.
The specially developed adhesive exhibits excellent adhesion properties with common PCB soldering processes, but is less suitable for use in reflow soldering. The roll core is made of polyethylene instead of cardboard—for improved stability and moisture resistance in industrial environments.
With an adhesive thickness of 0.1 mm and its characteristic green color, 3M™ 851 is ideal for precise high-temperature masking where reliability and reusability are critical.
