3M™ 4411B High-Performance Sealing Tape, black, is a 1 mm thick, extremely conformable, single-sided acrylic adhesive tape with a high-performance ionomer backing. Our tape is specifically designed to provide a professional seal over an existing joint, seam, or penetration that is exposed to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture.

The 3M™ 4411B High-Performance Sealing Tape is the ideal solution, for example, for sealing roof racks or mechanical mounting brackets on commercial vehicle roofs. This allows for significant savings in liquid sealants. The tape has strong adhesion and meets the requirements of a wide variety of demanding sealing applications. As a single-sided tape, sealing is generally achieved by “over-sealing” an existing joint or penetration—as opposed to “sealing between surfaces,” typically using double-sided tape, a gasket, or a liquid sealant/adhesive. The acrylic adhesive used in 3M™ High-Performance Sealing Tapes is manufactured using the same technology as 3M™ VHB™ Tapes. This pressure-sensitive adhesive tape delivers exceptional performance for difficult sealing applications. The ionomer backing is very robust yet flexible and abrasion-resistant. It is conformable and provides an effective seal over contours, edges, rivets, and screw heads. The thick acrylic adhesive is very soft and has excellent sealing properties while offering good outdoor durability. It is designed to adhere perfectly to the ionomer backing, allowing for overlapping adhesive joints while maintaining a strong, effective seal.
