Beschreibung
3M™ Tape 92 is a high-quality insulating tape with a polyimide backing and flame-retardant properties. It features a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive that ensures excellent adhesion and high-temperature resistance. The tape is suitable for applications in the temperature range from 0 °C to 180 °C and is UL-listed and RoHS-compliant.
With a total thickness of just 0.076 mm, the tape offers a dielectric strength of up to 7,500 volts and belongs to insulation class H. It combines mechanical, electrical, thermal, and chemical resistance in a single product that performs reliably even under extreme temperature fluctuations—from –40 °C to +180 °C.
Typical applications include the insulation of coils, cable harnesses, and capacitors, as well as masking contacts during PCB soldering (solder mask tape). Thanks to its printability, it is also ideally suited for cable labeling and bundling.
