The 3M™ Polyester Film 5 is an exceptionally thin and elastic insulating tape that also offers high durability. While the acrylic adhesive is extremely resistant to solvents and "flagging," the backing is characterized by very high tear and abrasion resistance. The tape, which is 0.06 millimeters thick, withstands a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B. The transparent polyester film is ideal for securing connection wires, as it allows for visual verification of the correct pin assignment.
