3M™ Fiberglass Tape 27 is a 0.178 mm woven insulating tape with a pressure-sensitive thermosetting rubber adhesive. The tape is designed for use in dry 600-volt applications that require high mechanical strength and resistance to high temperatures. The adhesive is specially formulated and prepared for corrosion protection.

Scotch® Fiberglass Tape 27 withstands a breakdown voltage of 3,000 volts and, with a temperature resistance up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B. This makes it ideal for insulating electrical components that generate significant heat and as a protective wrap against heat radiation. Like all glass fabric tapes, it is particularly tear- and abrasion-resistant. This ensures long-term functionality even under high mechanical stress, such as in electric motors. Thanks to its elasticity, this insulating tape—coated with a thermosetting rubber adhesive—adapts perfectly to various substrates. At the same time, the printable fabric structure ensures excellent absorption of resins and paints.
