Beschreibung
3M™ Filament-Reinforced Insulating Tape 1076 is specifically designed for oil-cooled distribution transformers. With a thickness of 10 mil, it provides reliable insulation even under demanding conditions. The reinforced paper backing made of glass filament nonwoven provides additional stability, while the oil-resistant acrylic adhesive retains its adhesive strength even after prolonged exposure to transformer fluids.
The backing material is fully saturable, thereby preventing air pockets between the adhesive layers. This enables a uniform build-up of insulation. Thanks to its special coating, the tape bonds excellently with diamond paper and epoxy resin during the transformer curing process. It is suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 to +105 °C, complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU, and offers excellent resistance to solvents and chemicals. Its high stiffness also facilitates handling during coil winding.
