Beschreibung
The 3M™ VHB™ Adhesive Tape Max Series was developed for applications requiring the highest strength and reliability. As the strongest acrylic adhesive tape in the 3M™ VHB™ portfolio, this series offers an exceptionally high lap joint strength of up to 3.24 MPa (470 psi), making it a high-performance alternative to screws, rivets, certain welding methods, and liquid adhesives.
The viscoelastic acrylic adhesive provides immediate handling strength, allowing components to be processed quickly. Time-consuming steps such as drilling, welding, or post-cleaning are eliminated, which reduces assembly times and simplifies production processes. At the same time, the tape enables a smooth, seamless appearance without visible fasteners.
The 3M™ VHB™ Max Series tape is designed for metals and other materials with high surface energy and offers a high degree of design freedom. The use of narrower adhesive lines and smaller adhesive areas reduces material usage and weight. In combination with the 3M™ VHB™ Max Adhesion Promoter, high and reliable adhesion is achieved on a wide variety of substrates and under various environmental conditions. The series is available in several thicknesses, covering a broad spectrum of demanding industrial applications.
